And SECs Ole Miss blows a 22 pt half time lead to an ACC team. One with a beginner QB.

    Good times!

Wow what a weekend in college football!!!! Lots of assumptions and facts to go along withit. Lets do a quick recap:

SEC seems to be overrated for now - I must agree with that for the time being as the SEC did NOT show up for opening weekend. Except for my Tide! I "think" we covered our spread. As for the rest of the SEC teams that actually won, only UGA looks to be an actual contender. TN hopefully was just overlooking App St so they can prepare for the largest football game in college football history this weekend against VT in Bristol.

LSU is NOT a title contender (for now). Rumors are already flying about Les Miles to be fired. I find that absolutely ridiculous but alas, Im a Bammer so my opinion of the corndogs doesn't matter.

Clemson either isn't as good as once presumed or Auburn actually does have a pretty good defense but still an atrocious offense. Also hearing rumors fly about them wanting Gus Malzahn fired after his comical QB juggle throughout the game. They finally aren't paying Cheese Stick anymore so maybe they will fire Malzahn and overpay yet another overrated head coach.

FSU looked to be abysmal for at least the 1st half against Ole Piss, but alas, Jimbo Fisher may have a stud freshman QB in DeOndre Francois who looked more than calm and poised throughout the entire game really. Tough to see a few Rebels go down with gruesome injuries and hope they can at least make 100% comebacks to be able to finish their careers out!

Stanford is yet the only team out of the PAC 12 that appears to actually be worth a damn even though I feel as if they under performed against K State.

I don't have much of an opinion on anyone in the Big 10 since they refuse to really ever play any type of talent in week 1. MSU, Mich, and OSU all opened with a joke, but at least MSU and OSU will get decent tests in week 3 against Notre Dame (seriously always overrated) and Oklahoma (still don't understand their hype, which was proven this weekend after getting embarrassed by Houston)

Texas had, in my opinion, the best performance of the weekend. Charlie Strong seems to finally getting Texas back to where they belong and to where a Charlie Strong coached team should be. If they can smoothly substitute both of their QBs like they did against ND, they will cause havoc in the Big 12 and could possible get thru with 0 to 1 loss in conference.

Did I miss anything? Remember, these are just my thoughts after week 1 and they will definitely change throughout the year. No butt hurt in here...if you disagree, please post and lets discuss! I love a good college football debate!:duel:

Smart wI'll turn this around at the half or the natives will be restless. Wish it was a better game for you to this point.

Too close for comfort, but a win is a win. Looks like there is still a lot to figure and work out in Athens. A lot! Receivers need to get a new lot of gloves and stickum. Too many dropped passes.

The O line is what I'm worried about most wth this UGA steam. Fuck special teams. It's the O line.

We won, and we're obviously better than we played yesterday, considering how we played against UNC. I was just hoping we wouldn't have a big letdown after a big win. So far I still have faith in Kirby to turn it around.

Am I surprised we are ranked as high as we are? Yes I am. I believe it will take a while for the team to gel as one. The program went through a huge change. I have faith in Smart and company. Time will tell all. As far as this season go and yesterday went, the best we can hope for is to win weekly and to be firing on all cylinders towards the end of the season. Just got to get better every week and learn from yesterday.

I agree with both. I never got too worried yesterday until the McKenzie fumble anyway. I kept saying we'd take control.

I'm already sick of hearing the Richt supporters saying we should've kept him.

Glad Georgia won, but damn! Oline needs to grow up and can we get a field goal.

What's the word on Florida's qb?

Thoughts on Louisville thumping on fsu?

    O line is shit.

    Kicker is shit.

Florida kicker is "possibly serious." Looks like he'll be out against UT next weekend at least.

When FSU gets throttled and ND loses, it's a good Saturday.
