Second Power Steering Pump in 6 months - Need Help

    Lots.
    Pump failed because passenger rack seals are blown. Pump is going to be replaced for free, but the Toyota rack alone is $1000 plus $500 for labor. They were selling an aftermarket pump for $600.

    Hopefully Colinb17 and I can do it ourselves.

    1. How does leaking rack end seals damage a pump? Why not it just wore on its own?

    2. anyone know the best place to get a new Denso? Only option I’m seeing right now is dealership parts dept which of course ain’t cheap
