Hello - I'm brand new to the site (so please excuse me in advance) if this post has already been discussed to death:). I have an 06 Tacoma double cab (4x4). I recently damaged the secondary air filter (carbon trap) and ultimately had to remove it. I've searched the world over trying to replace this; however, nobody is able to sell me "just this item" as it is considered part of the entire air box. I guess my question is:

    1) Will not replacing the carbon trap in any way, impact my truck in a negative manner (i.e. performance, allowing excess debris into the engine, etc.)?
