I had my secondary air system replaced a little over a year ago. I was one of the lucky ones who got it replaced for a minimal fee with a goodwill repair. I only had 35k miles at the time.

What I am wondering is if the new parts are better than the original parts, or if they are the same parts and will fail again.

If you have already had yours replaced, did it fail again? If it failed again how long did it last? Should I go ahead and do the preventative measures, or get a bypass kit?

I am quite unsatisfied with Toyota's handling of this situation.
