OP.... you might want to put in BIG bold writing at the top, that you do not street drive your truck, and that this mod is for off road closed competition use only.

Isnt this SAIS covered under the federal emissions warranty which is like 80,000 or 8 years ? I'd have it repaired under the emissions warranty before I came out of pocket for this piece of shit SAIS.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Results and experiences have varied across the board mainly pending different dealerships.

id be willing to bet most 2nd gens, especially ones with this issue (2012 v6's) are out of mileage and year....

I believe emissions related equipment is actually 10yr/100k miles. However this will make it so you never have to worry about it again....whether it's 80k miles down the road or 250k miles. The other plus side is the tuning capability of the software used. A ton of potential whether you are stock or have other modifications. Trust me, the software is worth every penny!! It's phenomenal.

Dealer wouldn't cover mine under that and I was still under powertrain warranty. There's an extension on these now, Toyota reimbursed me for the cost of the part since I repaired myself.

    I see 2 advantages.

    1. More room in the engine bay for anything you want to add like a 2nd battery, power distribution for lighting, or anything else you can think of. As well as less things to work around if you work on your own vehicle.

    2. No chance of the parts failing, which the pump is a common failure point at higher mileage. So no possible limp mode due to pump failure and no cost in parts if the system failed and was still installed.

There may be other reasons people would remove the system. For me it was mostly reason #2 as I plan on keeping the truck for a long time. Plus with the tuner it is an option to delete those codes with no adverse effect. So for no more additional money (because I was already doing the tune) this can be added in. As I've stated before the tune alone is worth the money whether you do this or not.

Wondering if there would be any problem blocking the drivers side at the end of the pipe. I cannot get this thing to budge to save my life. 20200620_165715.jpg
