I saw this video on you tube about changing out the secondary breather filter for 2nd generation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XO5d4MqZu5I

I went to check the one on my truck and could not find it anywhere. I have nothing that looks like the part in the video in either the displayed, or alternate location. There also are no hoses to the engine that might have come from the breather.

My truck is a 2011, but has been in service since 9/10 so was made sometime before that.

    Any thoughts?

My '08 didn't have it, but '12does. That's when they started. Been issues, and finally they had recalls.

'12-'15......with '12 being the problem year. '13+ have an air purge dump at shutoff to dry the valves in the SAI pumps

Thanks for the info. Not having it is better than "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I have a 2012 and did the mod, then a few months ago Toyota wanted to do a recall on my air pump. I put the old filter back on and took it in and they replaced the pump and 2 valves, no room for the mod filter on new part
