6E849BDB-9293-4D99-9E16-F450A0DADC36.jpg I got a molle panel custom made from OG Fabrications. The panels are for 3rd gen tacoma front driver and passenger doors. The bolts that came with the item are just regular machine bolts. Whenever i get to putting on the panel, id like to put in an anchor or something that u would put in drywall if there was no stud behind the drywall. Ive been searching around and i saw that they sell a spring anchor. And pretty much you drill a hole big enough for this anchor. And when u push it in, it springs out so when u screw it tight the piece that springs out hugs the door panel spreading the load to the door panel. Is there any other ideas/ways to securely put this panel on the door panel? And is there anything behind the door i need to look out/watch for. The reason for this is because id much rather keep the door on rather take it off and put a nut behind the screw. I will post a picture of the anchor bolt i am talking about.

I'd remove the panel so you know what you're drilling into. Plus the thickness of these wall anchors might not work between the door sheet metal and plastic panel.

Stuff like this reminds me was to why i'm cold on buying used vehicles anymore

Step1 calls for pre-drilled holes. If you need some, let me know. I've got plenty of pre-drilled holes. :anonymous:

Just take the door off, it takes 5 mins tops to take the door off. I did mine this way, used some washers and nuts on the back side, and I’m here 2 years later never had an issue yet.

I don’t think those will work as you have a limited space BEHIND the hole and it will run into the outer roof. Those spring open anchors need some room to go all the way in and engage/spread open. Look into a jack nut that’s what I use on my overhead milled.
