have you checked the audio section? I have seen pics there with the plastic removed on both the seat backs and the rear wall plastic bins.

I cut out the little shelf thats behind the rear passenger seat to make more room for tools and junk. If you have a dremmel Im sure it wouldnt be hard to cut out a section of the "bridge" that divides the tow rear storage bins and use somehting similar to the quick fist mounts to hold your gun.

they make a big and a small version. I think the small one would work for the stock of the carbine and a big clamp for the handgaurd.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply but work has been fun lately.

Here are a few pics of the plate and how it fits. It was sold locally (Tampa) for around $180.00. I did remove all the plastic from behind the seats and placed a MDF finished board across. There are mounting holes approximately every 1/4" across the top and bottom of the plate. I am not going to show the mounted product for several reasons but it works well.

what keeps the gun in place though? is it a pretty snug fit once you get the top plate on?

    Thank you :D

There is a section of foam on both pieces about 1/4" thick (very very dense). The carbine is very secure and does not move at all once the plates are sandwiched together.

    that's 1 bad @ss M4 bro...love the color scheme on that thing...

I only got me a Herstal FN 5.7...I keep that thing wedged between driver seat and middle console...quick access if I ever got to use it...about to get my concealed firearms license later this summer...but nevada laws allow you to drive around with a firearm as long as its visible when you get pulled over...

most states require the firearm to be visible while the ammo and cartridges are in the back of the vehicle...

That thing is great. Any kind of markings re: manufacturer, or a box it came in?

If I understand the operation correctly you remove the lock and the plate drops down so you can remove it through the keyhole section at the bottom.

I may take you up on that, for the right price. :D

But I'm also still weighing options. If there is a way to make that whole area lockable as a storage bin that would the the ideal solution as it could be used for items other than the carbine and/or even the carbine in it's case.

Nice rifle, BTW. I do some part-time gunwriting on the side. Have articles in this month's SWAT and Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement magazines.

If you are serious then send me a PM, I am kicking around the idea of a timer based lock mounted the same was as my cruiser... I am sure we can work out a hell of a deal :)

I keep thinking I should be able to find a cruiser mount on Galls or elsewhere but haven't stumbled on anything yet.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
To me it's not worth the risk of keeping a carbine/rifle in the truck all the time.

I used to just keep my 10.5" AR in a tennis bag in my truck and call it good but I realized that's not the best idea.

I usually just keep my G19 on me and stow a few magazines around the vehicle and call it good.

again, not looking for "all the time", just a way to secure the rifle when leaving it there is unavoidable or preferable to not having one at all.

the same would apply to the laptop, frankly, in that I wouldn't leave it in the truck at all times but it would be nice to have a way to secure it when I did.

I called Signal15 on Friday and no one has gotten back to me yet. I will find out and post as soon as possible.

On a second note, I found a spring loaded cruiser rack I am going to mod and mount so its official, I will part with the trusty old one here. How does $150 shipped sound
