Securing golf clubs in the bed?

Doesn't always stop a semi round object from rolling some.

 

There is a groove in your bed to lay a 2x4 across (Or 1x4, 1x6, etc). Right behind the wheel well. And of course, I can't find a pic. Look at your bed and you'll get the idea. Not noticeable at first

 

Here is what i did in the bed of my tacoma that i posted about earlier. I didn't get to measure any dimensions but as i said its really cut to fit with my miter saw. i intentionally left the box short to expose the tie downs but to avoid sliding i added the spaces to rest up against the tailgate. The internal width allows for my sun mountain carry bag to lay flat without the longer clubs, driver, hitting the 2x4s. This also does double duty of keeping groceries in place.

 

A bed mat helps keep things from sliding, much be sure to secure it from theft
