I have a place in the northern part of the state and we have recently had issues with vandalism and destruction of property. We have a telephone line, but no internet or cable in this area. A DVR set up with IR would be nice. The longest we go without a visit is at most a month. Suggestions?

I have a cheap Swann 8 channel DVR with 4 cameras from Costco for like 299 i think.

It will record nonstop for 60 days with 4 cameras. Over 200 days if you set them to motion.

If you want later on, it even connects to the internet and my wife can view them live via her phone from anywhere. it sends her an email when somebody comes into our driveway with a snapshot of the video. Its pretty neat.

It actually helped the cops catch a guy breaking in cars. he came to our house and checked our door handles at like 3 am one night. Showed the video to the cops and the cop recognized him and now he's in jail for 3-5.

    EDIT:
Here is something like I have...

DO you know what the range is for the motion sensors off hand? Are the cameras wireless/wired? How is the picture quality?
