Hhmm, with a gas cap, I think I would heat the key then use the warm key to heat the gas cap......

Anyways, I have a stant also, better than nothing. If they really want in there, nothing will keep them out.

That is why we have revolvers. shotguns, rifles and pistols.
No gas cap is secure any more than you are.
Geeze, do we have to go through the last thousand years of history again?

I do not have a locking gas cap. I do have motion dectors, PIR, FLFR and a projectile weapon.
Take the gas; please. Make my day.
I have my moments of boredom.

So did anyone ever find out if other Toyota models had locking caps that would fit?

just invested in one. the 15 dollars is worth not having to go the extra 1000 dollars to replace all your gaskets. my friend has a 95 mustang and someone poured sugar in his. he had to replace all the gaskets.

Stant 11509 has been working fine for me. Again no sensor issues as well.

Correction, These are not "People" they are Low life, Thumb Suckin, Bed Wettin, Commie Pinko Bastards! !!!!:D and you can expect a lot more of it as gas gets more expensive. How else are these SOBs going to buy their smokes and drugs??

(This is my opinion alone and by no way the opinion of the web site owner:))

They are air thiefs and deserve all of the bad things that are going to happen to them.
I like the Commie, Pinko Bastard part.

Not long ago, there were two tanker trucks (diesel) that were stolen locally.... They found one of the tankers, but no diesel in it.

With gas as expensive as it is, I'm surprised it doens't happen more often.

Interesting topic. I've wondered why this is not an option. My 95 tacoma has a locking fuel door and for $30K you can't buy an 08 with this feature!

I asked the dealer about the lack of a lock on the gas door when I was buying my truck in 06. He said they don't put them on because anyone really determined to steal your gas would just pry open the thing open causing hundreds in damage.... before finding out you can't get a hose into the tank.

That is true. It is up to you tp protect yourself.
As much as I would like to; I can`t do it.
And it breaks my heart that the chance that I will be there when you need me is about zero.
