Well I actually camped out bout 90 min away from Grand Canyon

I camped between flagstaff and Sedona off highway 89A
This highways is going up/down a mountain with plenty of scenery shops and slide rock state park

I camped at a spot manzanita campground
There's plenty more campgrounds down that highway

But when I was on my way to Grand Canyon I seen more campgrounds but glad I didn't camp anywhere near there.
Was too hot, where I camped , plenty of shade,And a RIVER
Man that came through for us haha
