Hopefully, you'll be much happier with your new Jeep. I'm sorry to hear you were not happy with the Tacoma, but at least you did something about it, instead of coming on here complaining about it at every opportunity while doing nothing constructive to remedy the fact that it just wasn't the right truck for you. Good luck!

Granted the 5.7 makes the truck move, but did you check out a 4runner by chance. Lots of guys on here own or have owned and are fans.

Wow !! You took a $6000 bath to go to a FIAT product... Good luck on that move.
I just don't get all the 3rd Gen Hate(?) Guess I got luck with mine. 7500 trouble free miles and still loving it. And yes, it's my second Tacoma. Had my 2005 OR for 11 years.

Some people live in a fantasy land. The resale of any new car is worse the first few years, especially the first year. The Tacos resale bucks the trend somewhat as you hold on to it longer. Look at how much a 10yr old Tacos are going for. Anyway, if you expected the dealerships to give you close to what you paid on a 1 yr old truck you're being unrealistic. Dealership aren't in the charity business. You should have sold it privately if you wanted more.

Do you need to know, or care?
Don't care what anybody else says, I'll miss you. Those countless nights chatting about the trucks, kids, life in general...LOL...fun times.

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time

Oh wait, who are you? I see you only have 30 posts and I don't recognize your name...enjoy the Jeep.

I'm headed to the Chevy Dealer right now to look at Silverados. If I buy I won't trade. I'll keep the Tacoma just so I can continue to raise hell with corporate to get the problems fixed.

Ohhh....I see.....you needed a reliable vehicle with solid resale value so you bought a Chrysler Grand Cherokee?

    Real smart move

Smitty99 might say that you lack situational awareness

But good luck with your new Chrysler/Fiat

Sorry to hear you we not completely satisfied with your Taco.

I will congratulate your decision to keep the Chrysler mechanics in your area busy every 7 to 10 months with your purchase of the typical disposable, American vehicle.

I'd love to stimulate the American economy as you will be doing.

I'm not sorry the OP wasn't happy with his truck and even less interested in what he got as a replacement. But I guess he feels good letting us all know how much smarter he is.
