You see this on fords, gm and chrysler trucks in 5 years. By the time you see this it's a lost cause. It's already falling apart..............

You make it sound like nobody drives cars in the rust belt and they're all falling apart out there. Just fluid film it and clean it regularly. It's not hard to maintain.

This is why I would lease in rust states/provinces. No way would I let salt worry me. 3/4 years won't cause enough damage to make them charge you.

People who don't live here don't get it. Rust from road chemicals is a war you will never win.

You keep showing pictures of rust as though folks have never seen it, heard of it or don't understand it -- we do. We're just saying that with care and maintenance it's avoidable and hiding your truck away kind of defeats the purpose of even owning it. You may as well own a Corolla and wax it daily.

I've got a a year-old frame under a 13-year old truck that was just Fluid Filmed in September; I say bring on the blizzards and salted roads!

Problem is, its his truck and they can do as they like.

That said, the pic is obviously looking to cause reactions, so nuts to it.

For sure -- if he wants to hide it away all winter, absolutely go nuts. Just sayin' I'll never understand it and pics of rust aren't compelling to me. The shit I do to my truck in summer is much, much more likely to do lasting damage than rust. :angrygirl:

I bought a Tacoma FOR a winter vehicle. Most of the time I'm on a motorcycle but they don't do so good on snow covered roads.

I cover and store my 69 Dodge Dart in the garage all winter.
Tacoma...hell no. DD the shit out of it. Im not far from you. Get all the salt and snow same as you.

Why are you justifying your position to store it with videos and shit? Like youre trying to convince yourself and get approval from TW.
Its your truck, do what you want. You want to baby it, go ahead.
Personally, I dont find anything special or rare enough about a Tacoma to store it, but your truck is yours. Store it if you want.
