Seems that way. I also frequently wash the underside after every storm so I assume that helps too. Get some pretty strange looks crawling around on the wet concrete of the car wash spraying the underneath of it

I like that people baby their cars. I figure they are saving them in great condition for me. I drive all my cars in all weather. I went to a local cars and coffee last week in the rain in my 1973 Triumph. I bought my 2000 BMW 740i sport in near perfect condition and turned it into a daily driver. Previous owners preserved it for me to enjoy. ;)

Mine still looks the same after nearly 3 years with cosmoline. I haven't washed my truck since picking it up new. I think i used the garden hose a couple times on warmer winter days, and spring time to hose a lot of mud off. I use to do my tundra with fluid flim which was a waste of time.

I just take mine to the auto wash for an undercarriage water blast at least once a week during the winter. I wish I could fit my tacoma in my garage but it is too small.

If it's a true ZHP package, their car will be worth a decent amount, especially on auction sites like Bring a trailer.

i don't store or baby mine. i use it as i have every other truck before it but, i take good care of it.

the thing i enjoy most about the turd gen tacoma in the winter is how the colder temperatures cause an increase in rattles from cheap plastic and poorly assembled components. i couldn't imagine storing the truck and missing out on these most pleasant noises that just scream quality.

Its a true ZHP, red with black leather/alcantra, Still has the airbag recall that will never get done because all the trim will turn to dust if they try to remove it.

Back in the early 90's the guys I worked with and I would get those huge 4 door grandpa cars from the 1970's for winter beaters. Oldsmobile delta 88's, huge old mopar Polaras, Buick Rivieras etc. We had a contest every year on who could find the biggest old boat. Fun times!

That doesn't work when it's 8 degrees F for a couple months. That's the worst, when your truck is pasted with layers of chalky white chemicals for weeks on end. If the car washes were even open you'd either be frozen into your truck and couldn't get out or once out you wouldn't be able to get back in until it thawed out!

I tried to find a picture of his ZHP, but all I found was his b7 and some more pictures of the cars I store in the winter.

I'd move before I parked my truck in the garage like that...

Cause I'd kinda have to, it doesn't fit in my garage...

Out here in Chicago, the indoor car washes keep all liquids heated so they are always open during the winters. If there is a lot of build up of snow/gunk I'll shovel it all off first before going to the car wash.

Our 2016 only has a few miles over 20,000. Here in northwest Indiana it gets time off for salt on the road thanks to our 2009 Nissan Murano. I have probably 20 miles of wet salt on the road driving on the Tacoma. It gets rinsed off pretty quick. The Murano is starting to get some small rust holes. I would get a new vehicle but a wheel will have to fall off the Murano before I pay an extra few thousand over sticker just because the dealer can get it due to a shortage.
