Hi everyone, I hope all is well.
I am currently in the market for a 2015 Taco. I finally found one, however I am unsure if the price is steep in todays market?

It is a clean title & 1-owner crew cab 5ft bed. TRD Off-Road (not 4x4), 62k miles, full service history with no previous accidents and no rust on frame. I am located in SoCal, owner is firm on $28,000. Is this too much or just about right? Please advise, thank you.

p.s we took it to a mechanic for inspection. Only thing he mentioned was a very light shudder when 2nd gear goes into 3rd gear driving 30mph or less. It goes away when you brake. (tranny service has not been done.) Do 2nd gens have transmission problems?

If u r looking for opinions...that's a nice find but to me it seems way over priced for a 15. It's your $, spend it if you want it.

Not certain about this but I'm pretty sure the 2015 TRD Off-Road only comes in 4x4. (It is not uncommon for someone to just buy a TRD Off-Road decal and stick it on a 2WD Tacoma.)

Check the vehicle VIN number online to find out what the actual trim level is, i.e. maybe a TRD Sport or PreRunner etc.

    ----

For comparison, I bought a 2014 Access Cab, 4.0L, 6-speed manual trans, 4x4 / TRD Off-Road, w/ tow package, 1 owner, no rust, complete dealer service records, 62K miles, for $25K in Fall of 2021.

If the truck you're considering above doesn't have 4x4 I wouldn't pay more than $22K for it.

On the other hand maybe inflation continues to just push up the prices of everything and that's now the going market rate. Stock market keeps going up w/ Yellen and Powell antics, so used vehicles may be on their way up too?

    Dude!! You're right!!
vin report says PreRunner. I called the dealer it was originally purchased from according to the guy. They said some did come in 2wd depending the month it was manufactured, however this one did not have any "off road" etc in the system or notes.

I just dodged a bullet, thanks bro real good looking out!!!
