For Christmas my husband is asking for a new radio with bluetooth for our 2002 Tacoma. I've found a Boss824UAB stereo for $99. Don't know if this is a good or bad model. Do others out there have any recommendations for good reliable bluetooth radios?

    Thanks for your help,

Bought a JVC KD-R740BT in 2013 and love it. Comes with bluetooth calling all for $99 (89 now). Youll need to buy a dash kit as well since its a single din, and stock is dual. Plus a stereo wiring harness. Its an additional 30 bucks or less and you can get them from autozone pretty cheap. It also comes with pandora controls. Makes it easier to listen to pandora if you have it.

The one you have seems like it will do the trick. It's a double din so i dont think you need a dash kit for it. but you'll still need a wiring harness so you dont have to cut the stock wires.

if you get it from Crutchfield they sell the complete package. I have gotten my audio from them for years now and they are always comparable on price.

    Pretty much stock right now
I recently bought a Sony mex-n5000bt on eBay. Very nice. Lots of cool features. It came with the wiring harness and mic for the Bluetooth. It's also an easy install on the Tacoma. It's a single din, so whether you need a trim kit depends on what's in the truck now. Many stock units are double din, so a filler may be necessary. Mine has a tray in the place below the radio. In any event, he'll love the hands free phone, no matter which unit you get.
