Yes I’ve used the search function and this is what I have come up with.

I’ve been doing lots of research and wanted to run this by some people with more experience. I have a 2018 Tacoma TRD off road. I’m going for 2.5-3 inches of lift.
Bilstein 5100 all around with OME 887 coils

I want to run 285/70R17 Toyo AT3 with fuel anza wheels the specs are 17x8.5 6-139.70. Should I order them with -6mm or +6mm of offset?

I undserstand I might need to do a CMC but I’m hoping choosing the wheel offset will help minimize modification.

I have this tire/wheel and have no rub and did not do a CMC. Toytec 2 inch lift and SPC adjustable UCA’s. People refer to the wheel as a 4-runner SEMA wheel. Unfortunately I do not know the off-set, they were on the truck when I bought it.

Not familiar with that particular tire wheel combo. I have 285/70/17 Nitto RG with no CMC and no rubbing.

My belief/research is the most important criteria in judging if a 285/70 tire will rub is offset & alignment numbers. I have 0 offset with my alignment having 4 degrees caster (aftermarket UCA). I was talking to someone this weekend who had roughly the same alignment and was rubbing with -12 degrees offset.

I think you might have problems with -6 offset. You might be fine with with +6 as I think that is close to stock (depending on alignment).

The -6mm offset looks to have enough backspacing that you should be fine I think, and that will reduce the likelyhood you need to do a CMC to fix rubbing.

Are you doing aftermarket UCAs? With 3 inches of lift you're not going to have much downtravel left if you don't.

You won't get that much lift from 887 coils. You should do 888 coils to get closer to your desired lift.

I read that the 888s were for the Tacoma’s with a bumper. I switched the order though. So I’ll be doing the 888s, thanks!

Agree, I now have 887s collecting dust. 888 is the way to go
