Have a 2017 Sport and its time to get some new tires. I spend most of my time driving on the freeways and roads (very little trail or dirt) so getting a hybrid trail tire doesnt seem to be a great ideal, but Im open to hearing about the pros/cons. Currently, I drive 40 miles to/from work each day. Sticking to same size: 265/65r17 (cant raise the truck at all)

    So Im looking at the:
Michelin Defender , or maybe the BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport

    Was also recommended:
BF Goodrigh Trail/Terrain , or the Falken Wildpeak A/T tires

    Appreciate any quick thoughts!

The Falken were great tires, but the prices have gone crazy. The Yokohama Geolandar G051s or Nokian Outpost ATs are nice tires also. I have heard good things from some folks about the Yokohamas, and I have a set of the Nokians now.

Falken Wildpeak A/T for me in SoCal. They are quiet and holding up well.

Got about 10K miles on Michelin LTX Defenders. I also am all pavement. Wearing well and very happy with them.

UPDATE: I just decided to go with the Falken Wildpeak A/T.

Price was decent and to be fair, they're a little sexier. Plus it was going to rain soon and just made more sense, I guess (which just means there was no real reasoning going on). Two days in and they are quiet on the road.

Bonus: ran into Daisy in the waiting area

I've had Michelin LTX M/S^2 on an SUV previously. - Unbeatable on the road. Great traction, comfy, and SUPER quiet at any speed. Amazingly good off-road for a road tire.

I don't want to know what Daisy looks like these days...

That's a beefy looking tire! I like it!!!

I was just in LA during Columbus Week (Oct 10-14) and rented a 2022 Camry from Ontario Airport.

I can't imagine driving 40 miles (oneway) to work.

That would be like me driving up north to Wilmington on Hwy 1...yikes!!!

    But, back to your tire...

I barely have 15K miles on my 2021 Sport so I have a ways to go before I am pursuing new tires.

I'm considering going with 265/70R17s...which is an inch in tire size height without doing a lift.

    Enjoy your new tires!
