Thanks! I do have future modification plans for the rear...simple/subtle side armor. I'm looking forward to seeing that bumper on your truck! Fastenal did a great job with the shipping for my bumper. If you're in a hurry I can see it not being the best since they wait to fit it on a truck, but the timing worked perfectly for me.

Yeah, i'm just hoping to have it before Christmas. Maybe ill get lucky and make it on the first shipment out. I've hear of people receive their shipments in 1 day and some taking 15 days.

What kind of side protection? Tube or plate?

Tube. Single around the side, which I may tie in underneath. Sliders are also in the forecast, as well as a winch and weathertechs...after how muddy it was today and how stuck I got in a bog.

Ha yeah, in the video i saw all that mud on your dash with the windows down. Looked really fun though. Interested to see what you come up with for the side protection. Who are you going to use for sliders?

Ya, forgot to roll the windows up before I gunned it as a 4runner pulled me out. It was a blast though. Spent the morning getting the truck all cleaned up.

I'm still not sure what sliders I want. I'm sure I'll get tubular ones, but as far as brand goes, I have no preference at this time.

With Christmas over with, I am looking to the next mod on the truck. As of now I believe that finishing out a complete exhaust system would be the most beneficial to the truck since I have a cat that's gone out and a broken collector washer that makes noise under low engine pressure.

I am back and forth between JBA and Doug Thorley for headers and I am looking for any comments or opinions on either one. I am leaning more towards DT right now, even though they are much more expensive. I would also be interested in suggestions on new Cat's, preferably large enough not to restrict or Hi-Flo.

    Thoughts?!

I see you went to Potawatomi. I'm about an hour and a half from there.

I did I did! Thanks for the reminder! Yes I did snag the DT headers and the idler pulley from a fellow member here.

Yup! I went there again last Tuesday too, but I ended up scratching the shit out of my truck as I found myself on more than one trail better suited for an ATV. It was a blast again and I'm going to check out Central Missouri Off-Road park next. If you go out somewhere you should let me know, I'd be happy to tag along.

I also got driving lights for the bumper last month and got them installed and wired to the ignition, always on. I would also like to get some amber fogs or an amber light bar like jberry's but I don't know where I'd put one or the other. Any one have any thoughts on that?

Will do! I need to rig my GoPro under there now and get a before and after. I think that would be awesome.

The past week was very productive. I had my local shop install the new headers and cats and button all that up. The result is awesome. I don't have a video/sound clip yet but I will get one soon.

I also installed Rostra's lumbar support for the 1st Gen Tacoma seats. The install was very simply and greatly improves the seat comfort! You would think it was factory. I didn't get any pics installing it but the bladder is attached to the rear springs in between them and the rear of the seat cushion. The motor is very quiet and mounts underneath the seat.
