Hey everyone, recently just installed a folding F-type tonneau cover on my 24'trd. Problem is, i cannot install any box rack now, because the tonneau cover covers the rail system, (in which i wanted to put a rooftop tent on).
Tent would be too heavy for roof itself, so it seems only option ive found, is modifying a rack (bolting into the tacoma frame itself), or hauling a utility trailer for the tent, which i dont want to do.
Any ideas or solutions you guys know of, greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    1st off, welcome to TW.

Just posted re tonneau yesterday, so guessing your problem is lack of t-slots for mounting. If you can return or exchange your cover for one that has t-slot tracks it will allow you to mount racks. Here's a pic so you can see the tracks along the sides:

Thanks for the quick reply. That being the only option now? Theres no rack system that goes with the Cap-it tonneau?

Don't know the answer to that. When I was doing my research the focus was on which covers and racks could be used together---- there are many options for each, but far fewer choices when needing both to function together. The feature that did seem to allow the integration between all of them was the tracks w/ t-slots. Perhaps someone familiar with your model cover would know how to modify it. Hope you can get it to work.
