I didn’t buy my Tacoma for other’s approval. I bought it for myself, not them. Besides, if they were so disliked, why is it so damned hard to find a cheap used one?

It's very cryptic that you happen to quote my post with that statement. Was that a form of insult or just playing off what I said?

That is my exact feeling too, all these media outlets that bash the Tacoma just don't understand it or what makes it is successful.

    Still stock completely capable!
100% true!! This world is all about the “new toy” once you get something you want something new before you even play with what you just got! Toyota builds a vehicle for years of good times and most people don’t understand why you would ever want to keep something longer than a lease payment lol!

Were also phasing into the snowflake generation where every car needs to be exactly up to unreachable entertainment standards that's lowering the expectation for longevity since everybody has to have the latest and greatest.

There is no appreciation for long lasting solid vehicles anymore. Leases are beginning to be the trend since every 1-3 years you can upgrade to the latest crap you don't need that still doesn't work.

From the time I started looking for a new truck till the time I actually bought one was a 3 year process. I know this is extensive, but I didnt need a new truck I just wanted one and I wanted to make sure I got what I would be happy with. I had my Dakota for 13 years, so this Tacoma will be with me for a while too.

Once they fix the 2.7 ECUs I will start preaching the Tacoma gospel again. Until then...

I also had a Dodge Dakota for 8 years, but it started rusting so bad at the Rear bumper, bed side seams, and door skin bottom seams, I dumped it before it became obvious and had little value. I did a lot of research and decided on a Honda Ridgeline or Tacoma. The Ridgeline was nice, but I really wanted 4WD vs AWD. Having owned both, there is a huge difference and I need 4WD since I live on a steep gravel mountain road. The neighbors don’t take kindly to spinning tires on the private road that we have to maintain.

Negatory, that is my tiny amateur patch collection. However if you want Taco decals go to this link: https://www.orezonadesigns.com/collections/in-stock/products/taco-decals

@orezona is a very reputable member here and those are his designs.

That's my truck. I had a Silverado. The Tacoma gets better gas mileage , much more quiet and smoother.

The new norm in marketing as well as politics is to beat down your opponent instead of saying good things about yourself. Disgusting. :censored:
