I have a sound ordnance b-8pt self amplified sub, I used it in my 01, then briefly in my 2008 and it worked great, now I have wired it into my 2012, using the high pass connections, split into the rear speakers.
My ground is the only questionable thing, I sanded off a painted bolt but that would be the only thing I think isn't connected perfectly.
I tapped into the grey ignition wire on teh back of the HU for my remote wire.

Basically it's on, but barely putting out any sound, I can feel it shake a bit, but even on max it's not putting out much for sound.

    any ideas?

K still working on this, I can put my ear to it and get a tiny bit of sound, but it seems like its trying to play the actual song, an not just bass like a sub should...

Its like a really faint speaker

May be a dumb question but do you have the power mode switch in high power?

High pass means passing the higher frequency sounds, but you are hooking up a sub - the exact opposite.

Either there is a word use error, or else you need different wiring so that the sub is fed from a low pass (or full spectrum) connection.

I think you're right, it's the "high power input"
