A standard length 19 slide with a taller grip that makes it harder to conceal. I never quite understood the "why" on that 19x. But then again, Glock came out with the model 42 before the 43, despite the fact the majority of people were wanting a single stack 9mm. Oh, I know why, marketing. Get people suckered into buying a 380. Then once the sales tapers off, come out with the 9mm so many of those buyers will rush out again to buy that one too.

I can think of better things to spend $300, or $1300, on than a 19x. No offense. I'd sell it high, while the demand is high, if you don't really need or want it. Put that money into your suspension or another firearm.

The 19x wasn’t initially a pistol built for the civilian market so there’s the why

As a gun guy, I usually never sell my firearms. I just keep collecting lol. That said, here's my economic take:
If you genuinely believe you can get $1300 for a $500 pistol due to current scarcity, I would capitalize on that. Laws change, especially gun laws. Three years from now you may not be allowed to sell it. At the same time, the roster may be dissolved. Right now, the value of the firearm is whatever people are willing to pay. If that's enough to cover your mods, I would go for it, especially since it's never been fired so it's obviously not a carry gun or paper puncher.

I don't understand the point of the 19x either. I wish they would make exactly the opposite, 19 grip with a full size slide.

Eh, I like my 19 just the way it is. All I would change is to add a threaded barrel. Maybe a mag well bevel.

I like the long slide guns like the 17L and the 34. A 19 grip with a 17 slide would be like a mini 34.

I like shooting my 19C more than my 34 MOS. I may sell them both and get a 19 MOS.

I carry my glock as a ccw so I'm not a super fan of a longer slide. And I feel like the optic just adds more stuff that can get snagged on a fast draw. Then again, I'm also trying to work my Beretta M9A3 into carry circulation and that's much bigger

Don’t do it gun parts are cheaper
make it Taliban Tan Gucci. I’d only sell it for expensive repairs or for a family crisis.

I get the sentiment, but if you save for the parts, say $1500 and spend that, then the gun goes down in value to $500, you lose a grand and your total value was $2k. If you sell the gun for 1500 while you can get that, and then save up 1500, you make out with 3k in value.

Understandable but besides after a panic buying phase, I’ve never heard of a functioning quality firearm going down in value unless it had some kind of tacky engraving.

True enough, but the value is artificially inflated due to perceived scarcity. If the roster goes away or the laws change to make it legal for purchase, the value is guaranteed to drop to market price.

Do not sell a Glock 19. As you say, they are very hard to Get. Impossible in Cali, as you said, and where I am. Im happy with my XD’s for home protection, but only because I havent owned a Glock

It was only a matter of time before a Sig is posted in a Glock thread.
