Hey guys...have a paid for 2015 TRD sport with 127k problem free miles on her. Thinking about selling it and putting some money down on a used 22-23 3rd gen with less miles. What would you do?

I would do what I’m doing. Drive my 2nd Gen into the ground. I have 100k hassle free miles. Enjoying no car payment.

drive her 'til the wheels fall off and use the money that you would put down and spend on a new truck and invest in the stock market.

My vote would be to keep your Gen2 and put the money you would have used on a payment aside for savings or investments. Sounds like your Gen2 has been trouble free and has what is suppose to be low mileage for these truck (the reason why a lot of us purchased the Tacoma).

I have +220,000 trouble free miles on my 2010. I’ve driving it until it dies, it’s the best truck I’ve ever owned. Has saved me a ton of money!

i have nowhere near that mileage on my 2010, but i agree with you. It has been rock solid. Many of my friends' new trucks have had more problems than my 2010.

Unless you don't like it or have a need to upgrade, I would agree with everyone else and keep it.

Keep it. If you're bored with it upgrade the sound system or tint the windows or something, way cheaper than getting a new truck.

Keep it if the frame is good! Just getting broken in if you've kept up on maintenance

My inclination would be to keep it. How's the frame rust?

Definitely keep it. 127k is barely just broken in for a 2nd gen. Save money on payments and spend them on cool mods instead.

I have a 15 with 135K. You're gonna need the Natl Guard to get me outta this truck that's paid off when current trucks are going for almost 50K out the door and a 5-7% note.

Only thing that would get me to sell is downgrading to a smaller vehicle. The taco is a little overbuilt/thirsty for $5 Seattle gas.
