Just buy both then you don’t have to decide which one was the right choice.

I’d say those two money pits of mine are right at the top of the list of poor financial decisions. Wife drives one, and the other never leaves the garage. See that Chevy off to the side. That’s what I drive let me tell ya that Chevy ain’t fun to drive.

Depends on your priorities. Most Tacoma owners are practical folks who tend to give extra weight to quality, reliability, durability and value. Go drive a 5 year old F150 then drive a 5 year old Tacoma. Tacoma's generally feel just as solid as the day they were purchased. I'm not sure you can say that for many of the F150's on the road, and the resale prices reflect that. Toyota is a very conservative auto manufacturer and they are definitely not going to the first to market with any of the bells or whistles, but when they do, they are typically bulletproof. If you read too much of the forum, you might be inclined to think they have all kinds of problems from shifty transmissions to howling rear ends. 98% of it is nit picking (in my opinion) when you compare to the rest of the market. I have a buddy with a brand new raptor (sweet ride by the way) and it's already been in the shop for some pretty big quality concerns like leaking oil pan and it cost 20K more than my taco.

Having said that, a Tacoma will probably not be a good fit if you do much hauling or carry loads. Right tool, right job.

If you like a truck and it is your primary family hauler then a full size will be much more comfortable for the people in the back seats. If you want the maneuverability of a smaller truck, the chevy/gmc and honda options will give you a bit more room in the back. The Honda may be the most comfortable as a daily family truck because its basically a SUV with a bed. The Toyota will hold its value and give you an experience. You will start to customize and immerse yourself in the land of mods and forums. Different world. This is where i fit in. Plus I wanted a manual so the decision was easy.

I went from a Gmc Sierra to a tacoma to a ram 2500 to a tacoma and my littles have chosen the tacoma every time. I fit in the back of the tacoma so i know it will fit other adults. Its basically a full size truck on a smaller frame.

I do like the Tundra, however I'm drawn more to the new Superduty if I'm staying in a big truck which I know is silly seeing as how I'd never really use all its ability.

You're not silly. I would have kept my ram 2500 of i used it more than once a year to tow my boat. It was more truck than i ever needed. But the people who owned it before me abused it which made it suck to maintain. So i was forced to fix what they did wrong or just get rid of it.

I like it. I have a stock trd off road in quicksand with a 6 mt. No complaints yet with almost 4k miles. Personally that truck looks like it would ride pretty stiff.
