2021 Offroad 4x4 with pretty much every available option. Should I keep it, or sell it and get one of the next generation hybrid Tacomas?

If you do sell, check out CarsAndBids. They look for trucks like these.

Keep- wait a few years for Toyota to work through year 1-2 minor issues with 4th gen.

Agreed. Unless money and time in the shop with the new truck isn’t a big deal
    For you.

Definitely keep it. What does the next gen offer that your current truck can't do? At the very least, don't get the first model year of a new vehicle unless you have the patience to be a guinea pig.

Agree with others... keep it. First year models almost always have a few issues. With as many new options and tech as the Gen 4 has, it could be a real PIA. Two, three years in they're usually ironed out.

    Great looking rig BTW!

I'd keep it. If I was comparing a new 3rd gen to a new 4th gen. The 3rd gen wouldn't be in the running, unless there was some reason I didn't like the 4th gen. The new truck is generations above the current one. 3rd gens are still nice trucks, and I would not mind having an SR utility pkg. It might sound like I really like the 4th gen, but I'm not really impressed by it. Should end up being a good truck though.

Hybrid isn't going to be available till early 24. So you have a year to wait.

Hybrid is the last thing I want in a truck. I like the idea of extra power, higher gas milage, and the Pro Power generator found on the F-150. Ford seems to be having issues with those trucks. That's Ford, but more reason for myself to stay away from a hybrid. All the hybrid trucks available today are still forced induction plus battery electric. That's two points of potential failure when I don't personally need either benefit that a hybrid system can provide.

The new 4th gen has peak power at 1700 RPM…. The difference between these trucks will be night and day, I’d sell it while the price is bloated. 3rd gen used market about to get flooded.

My pops gave me a lot of good advice from his 80 years on this planet. One piece that I've always followed: "never purchase the first model year of any vehicle."

Thanks folks. I’ll keep it at least two years into the 4th gen.

Considering the 4G is an all new Tacoma sold by independently owned Toyota dealerships. It very well could take two years of jumping through hoops to obtain one. I'd expect ADM and wait times to be on par with the last two years of the Bronco. I've only seen one thread where someone said they put down a deposit on a 4G, which I doubt is a possibility at the moment.

I wouldn't rush into this truck.

    Seriously doubt it.
Still tows 6500. Why ?
Just to feel a little more torque while needing to replace a turbo and a battery if hybrid ?
And a 4 under the hood. Many in here blasted Ford when they only offered a 4.
4th won't have the longevity of previous versions without expensive repairs/replacements imo. Why bolt all this expensive stuff under there ?
It's getting ridiculous the price not only to buy these but to maintain with all this added stuff.

No way would I sell a solid truck for a first year of production of a new model.

My dude, we have almost the exact same truck. Keep it, rip it around and have fun. I'm not even thinking about swapping until 5 years from now.

I wouldn't be afraid of a toyota hybrid. We have a 2012 prius that was bought new, its battery show no signs of replacing yet. Heck the op's taco isn't hardy broken in and already considering replacement. You can put a zillion miles on these hybrids before they get tired, and they're cheaper to own/operate. Even my brother has a hybrid rave4...that suv blows away my tacoma.
