I almost bought that car from an old lady out in the Phoenix area for $3500 when I was in college (many moons ago). All I had was $2800 and the person would not budge. That car is sweet!

You should take it to Carmax and do a youtube episode about it.

Back before the fast and furious movies came out, supras were pretty cheap. Insane how the movies and younger generation increased that market.

I don't know about that I was in the middle of the Supra scene right when the first F&F came out, it certainly took the Supra more mainstream than it already was but the teenagers that worshipped it could never afford one anyways. In the 1990s the Supra was still expensive, usually selling over MSRP and even in 2000 the supra already had a reputation as an "instant classic collector car". The tuner scene only increased the price because everyone started molesting them so having an all stock TT became more and more rare (which increased value).

I don't think it was teenage movie goers driving up the prices, the 2JZ is legendary it earned its own rep :)

Edit: whats crazy to me is the MKIII values, those were dirt cheap even after F&F and now if you have a 1991 Turbo stock with decent miles its worth way more than when I was fliiping them circa 2002.

I remember in the late 90's after Toyota/Nissan/Mazda all ended production of their TT sports cars you could get a good condition Supra for like 16-18k. Obviously too much money for a highschooler like me at the time, but they weren't appreciating back then. Then after the first F&F I swear they all jumped 10k and stayed there.

So that's exactly when I was in the market for a sought-after japanese sports car. I've wanted an NSX since I was like 13 and had the chance to buy one in 2009. The only thing is it was in silver and I really did not want a silver one. I saw that for the same price I could buy a '05 C55 AMG that was faster in a straight line and with only 24k miles, versus the 40k on the NSX. Man what a mistake I made...

    Scratches, dents, lots of squeaks.
When I was 18 (98) I bought a 95 grand price gtp. Two weeks later my buddy told me his grandfather was selling his 95(?) 6spd turbo supra cause his knees could no longer work the clutch. Wanted 20k.

On a side note, I pulled up next to an old man in a virgin championship white ITR this morning. If I had 30k on me I wouldn’t have thought twice about offering every penny to him for it.

I asked a buddy of mine who’s dealing with Supras a lot. He might have someone interested.

I bought it for 30k, added some Kleemann parts and got rid of it for 8.5 and only had 80k miles on it. I'm sure some kid now is driving the piss out of it lol.

Thanks man - shoot me a PM if he wants to connect and hear/see more about it.

Also: commission is guaranteed - just not decided what it will be if the price is lower than what I put in the OP

I worked for Toyota when these cars were new. Beautiful then and now. Timeless. A guy came in and paid cash for a 1994 TT black, 6 speed with targa and he paid sticker since we only had one in stock. $48,995. It was a great time for Japanese cars, we had the MR2 turbo also, and of course the 300zxTT, RX7, ITR, GSR, etc. Sigh...

GLWS. I traded a near mint S2000 for my Taco and still miss it although there's no comparison to the Supra! I equate the Supra to the Buick Grand National, a classic that will always appreciate.

That's an awesome memory! I wish I was around then.

I actually sold my S2000 to help finance this thing. Great little cars - this is the big brother essentially. Definitely would love to get back into an S2000 and do a proper track car they're a great foundation for that.

I sent this to a guy I went to school with, he's into Supra's. His name is Donald S. His Supra looks like the same color maybe, idk? Slightly modded though.
