I always post it for $500 over what I'm expecting to get. Everyone always needs to think they're getting a deal

My brother-in-law posted info on his 10 year old Corolla and said he'd be at the local DMV office at 9a one Saturday morning. Interested parties should bring cash and he'd take the highest cash offer, so long as cash was on hand. Had 4 people show and bid. High bid said he had to run to the bank and would be back with cash. My brother-in-law thanked him for the offer and sold the car to the next highest bid, paid in cash. They walked into the DMV office, signed over the title and the buyer finished his DMV work there. Seem to work out nicely for everyone.

I didn't even realize that this forum also has a section to post vehicles for sale. I'll post up there too.

I always get "can I trade my boat, or 4 wheeler, or things that go bang on the deal?"

I did sell a 100 ounces of silver about a year ago off CL and also have done some Armslist (guns) transactions. On the silver I talked to the guy on the phone, told him I would be carrying my conceal and carry weapon and to meet me at McDonalds. We both flash our guns to each other, the cash and the silver and went inside and sat by cameras. He even brought a hand drill to tap it and make sure it was real. He ended up being a really cool guy and it went well, but I'll never do that again.

My sister in law met to sell a car in a McDonald's parking lot. Guy asked if he could start it, got in started it an drove away. Her pocketbook credit cards and all. They found it a few miles away about two weeks after her insurance gave her more then the sale would have been.
Now I meet in a local municipal building whether I'm buying or selling, then if needed will come back to my house or go to their place after I'm comfortable if necessary.
