It was in Rhino Racks booth. I dont really know anyrhing about their rack system. We built the bumper with swingout, rock sliders and skids. All standard products that we offer all day.

I was just thinking of you when I saw the new big brake set. I was wondering if you would be returning your purchase for these or thinking that you would be wishing you had waited a couple more weeks before purchasing the StopTech

There are 2 big advantages over the OEM system.

The first is the 6 piston caliper which has a much greater clamping force that can safely stop your truck in a shorter distance. If you have to make a panic stop from 75 MPH and can do it in 15-20 feet shorter distance to avoid an accident then you can definetly see a benefit. Another way of looking at it is how many times do they have to save your life to make them worth it? I would say just once.

The second advantage is the reduced weight from using forged aluminum parts. Wilwood uses forged aluminum hubs, rotor adapters, brackets, and calipers. This can save up to 20 pounds of unsprung weight up front. A lot of Taco owners like to put oversized tires on for various reasons which results in reduced performance and fuel mileage. Wilwood brakes can bring back some of that performance and fuel mileage. Stoptech is a good company but the only big brake kit from Stoptech that uses aluminum parts is the kit for the XRunner which uses aluminum calipers and caliper brackets and saves 10 pounds. Stoptech does make 2 piece aero rotors which use aluminum parts but do not make any for any Toyota products.

After watching the Wilwood video a second time I noticed that he said these were for 2005 to 2015 Tacomas. I really hope they can be used for 3rd gen Tacos as well.

Oh I can sell the stoptech's easily, so I'll probably give someone a good deal on them. I mean, can't really go wrong with either but Willwood's are, well, Willwood's..

I was going pretty hard and talking with a few of my work vendors.

I did stop at the Decked booth, they had a DCLB setup and I got to play with the system. Very impressed, more than I thought I’d be and I want it. Rachel from Decked was awesome and helpful!

There are plenty of vehicles that aren’t my style, but you have to respect the time and the art the put into it.

Here are a couple pictures I thought y’all might appreciate.

For this big brake kit what are the wheel requirements (diameter and back spacing) or others like it on the market?

My SCS F5’s are 16 with a 4.5” BS (0 offset). Hope I wouldn’t have to sell my wheels just to go to 17’s.....

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I run 14" wilwood brakes on my Tacoma a 17" wheel or larger is going to be a requirement I'm sure of it.

It's a big brake kit you can't use stock rotors they will have brackets to move the calipers out further most likely with a different hole pattern then stock. Major advantage over stock 14" rotor and 6 piston calipers you will stop on a dime!
