That would be so much sweeter to use than the tailgate / cap door

Bell Offroad is an upfitter/fabrication shop just north of me. There's another logo above Bell's that is probably the shell MFG. I'll take a look. Funny thing about this truck is that I saw it at Bell Offroad when I was there getting some tubing bent but I was in a rush and didn't take a closer look. I didn't even notice the Wilson Toyota paper plates in the when I saw the SEMA pictures.

^Yes, because the purpose of SEMA is the show off all the crap. The vehicle is just a display platform.

So I went down and checked the truck out. Hopefully the pictures aren't too big. Here's the sheet of what was added to the truck, looks like the shell is a fiberglass SnugTop Outdoorsman model:

    20131123_092654_zps5d842a43_bf6107589a30d7b7c7827854ac191276b0393e30.jpg

Looks like it has a built in backup camera:

    20131123_092727_zps32ba7f1c_9e607b0b04a741f1424b041c254d6879eb36f060.jpg

Stout hinges, no latch on the driver side door. It has to be closed first and is held closed by the passenger door. Gas struts open the doors almost 180° but a limit strap could be made to stop them wherever you want:

    20131123_092940_zpsb95b8344_b6ab531ffaddcfa784719b111e42b813baa7bfad.jpg

It was difficult to capture in the pictures, but there's a cross piece that connects the bottom outboard corners underneath the doors. It keeps the doors from spreading apart and provides a place to mount the lower latch catch and weather stripping.

    20131123_093137_zpse3eaf61d_2dbb0acc42d9fa46fad18cf41cdbd98d8bdae76c.jpg

The shell attaches to the tiedown tracks on the bedside:

    20131123_093034_zps3967afd3_2741bc148fbf64d74a0dc08a0ecc25338274e800.jpg

It follows the contours of the truck pretty closely. There was a little bit of stickout in the back corners that I wasn't able to capture on camera. It sits a little bit proud of the cab:

    20131123_092844_zps745d2b48_a95ec5b86519063e666a825aaed6a08712de0283.jpg

The gap between the back of the cab and forward end of the shell isn't even, it increases slightly as you go up:

    20131123_092751_zps12bd9412_6166158564096cd9cb7f44612062f25901a675f4.jpg

Looking around Snug Top's website I see nothing about the Outdoorsman model. I don't know if it's a new one that just hasn't made it yet or if it's a discontinued one, but it was definitely made by Snug Top:

    20131123_093011_zps463ab579_8116bbb8f1dbea9fe10ad463a14dbbdfbf232de4.jpg

Tires are 33 x 12.5 R18. Interior of the truck looked completely stock. Didn't pop the hood. It's a great price for the truck with all the accessories. Even though I'm currently in the market, I'm looking for a DCSB TRD in a color other than black, so this one strikes out for me.

Forgot to mention, the truck does come with the tailgate. That's the white bundle in the bed that you can see in the dealer pictures.

The RBP grille accents better be 18K white gold to justify the $990 pricetag.

Interesting now that I see more pics. Wondering if they could beef up the hinges. Then offer 2 tire carriers on the exterior of the doors for 2 x 35"s or other mounting options for Jerry cans etc.

Inside could be 2 fold down tables/ kitchens on the back side of the doors.

Use these doors instead of a swingout on a HCRB

I doesnt look like you would be able to fit two spare wheels
On the back of that thing maybe one and the jerry cans.

But they would definitly have to reinforce those hinges in
My opinion or you could just go with a swing arm on the
    Rear bumper.

Left them a little food for thought on FB.
    Will contact them monday.

FOr sure swing out on the bumper would work. HOWEVER< having a platform like this with a few modifications would negate the need for a swing out and seem almost a stock application. Most vehicles you could not put 2 tires on the rear. Was more of a thought for the larger platforms. Then again, with a little rubber sticking out on the sides, not an issue.

My idea would be a Tire carrier on one side, and then the dual jerry can holders on the opposite door. Maybe a high lift there too. On the inside of the door, put a fold down table on both sides.

Tailgate issue? Well, I like mine too. Feel I would like this better. Besides, I could design an interconnecting slat system that could interconnect out a foot or so that could act as another table, or bench/ whatever. Load rating could be similar to the tailgate too .'//

If it is 35k, i much rather roll that out than my Baja lol
