Anyone have a part number for the MT surround? I want to paint one and see how it turns out - not willing to sacrifice my OEM one.

I bought mine on Amazon but it took weeks to get from over seas. I would suggest finding a different place to get it. Below is the part number. Note: some images show a TRD start stop but as you can see mine doesn’t and I like that. I’m sure there are different versions with different text but that’s what I ended up with and I’m sticking with it.

Finally got around to the chrome delete install... I combined a few pieces from meso’s and AJT design’s kits. I liked AJT’s vent rings aesthetically, but not his start/stop and 4WD knobs.

I was not excited about pulling apart the 3TPAM dash kit to get down to the lower control panel, but I was able to remember a few of the tricks for getting it back together.

    CHROME ACCENTS BEFORE... YICK!

I’m unsure how meso’s vent rings install, if they’re a clamp over mold like his door handles, an adhering kind or an entire snap-in part swap... but I know his competitor (mentioned above) had these little weensie 3M strips to adhere the vent rings and that was not gonna cut it.

So I busted out the gorilla glue and got them set in nicely. Thankfully, I was able to catch a couple sets of meso’s door handle covers before they went back out of stock during his BF sale and popped in a gashole as well. Cool stuff!

    GLUING VENT RINGS ON

    BLING BLAOW!

    ANNNNNND.... THE AFTER! WOOT! :yay:

    BYE- BYE CHROME!!

Agreed! I am looking at replacing my shift knob as well. I have automatic transmission. But that quicksand accented shift knob looks awesome.

That is awesome! I will really consider doing one myself. Can you tell me what wood finish you chose? I like the one you have.
