Hey all, just got a 2015 Taco SR5 a few weeks ago...bone stock with 30,000 miles. I’ve noticed that this truck has the most sensitive steering I’ve ever came across. Is this normal for these trucks? I had a tire repaired and I swear it seemed to be worse after the repair (probably in my head). I checked the air pressures, all normal, possible alignment issue? Or just normal for these trucks? Thanks.

i would start with having your alignment checked, whats the air pressure in the tires?

I used to run the fronts I think around 32 and the rears around 29

PSI should be 29 front, 32 rear.

But yes I believe the Tacoma has twitchy steering and is probably magnified if you run a large bulky tire that has a "flat" tread profile (rather than a "rounder" profile). Alignments will matter more on these trucks as a result.

32 is if you have a load in the back. You sure as hell don't need that for an empty bed if you only run 29 in the front . I go 30 all around on the road. Im betting on caster issue

Mine was a bit" darty" and some bump steer. Fresh shocks and an alignment and it's 100% better.

Sounds like not enough caster. If you get more, it'll make the steering a bit heavier and more stable feeling. Shoot for about 2 degrees if you're on stock suspension.
