Better hurry! when does it close up there?

I could Google the answer but that is what forums are for - redundant information

First weekend of October is the last bit.
I won't make it unfortunately. That would be a sweet experience though.

    It's pretty cheap.
$40 if you have all your own gear, or
$150 for DH bike rental, gear, and ski lift ticket. + $25 for insurance in case you total the bike.

Does this brown bike farms have a shower or am I going to be a smelly son of a bitch all weekend?

It's a grass field with 10-12 camping spots along a creek. There is one porta-potty there. No shower.

The larger "group site" they have is pretty decent, though. It's at a bend in the creek and includes a fire pit, picnic table, and a few things to sit on around the fire. Did any of you reserve that one?

Great! I stayed in that one just last week, and it's definitely where everyone will want to hang out for a fire and drinks.

The water flows over some small rocks there, as well, so the sound of that also makes it easier to fall asleep IMO.

Some of the gnarliest shit I've ever ridden by a large margin! I don't have any pics of the gnar but I have a couple of the view and a short video of Alex and Dave riding a jump on the "XC" trails.

Yes, that picture was near windmill trail at windrock. I was on the threshold of control most of the time there but I didn't exactly have the ideal equipment. Lots of steep and lots of tech/chunk. It's just the kind of stuff that I have no experience with so my opinion might be less useful but I thought it was fun and very difficult. Baker Creek was much more XC but had some spots of fun, steeper, more trail kind of riding with enough climbing to make you work for it. The videos were at windrock on the "XC" trails.

Three things we learned this weekend
    1. @GrundleJuice is a maniac on that hardtail - total machine
    2. Windrock is really hard
    3. There was beer in hands at all times over the weekend

But seriously @eidsondesign and @GrundleJuice were super easy to hang out with. Hopefully more of y'all can come ride Knoxville soon. I was able to take off my Guide Hat and just enjoy riding over the weekend. Very little media over the weekend we were too busy playing in the woods

Next time I'm bringing a 150 bike. Also, I forgot to smile. I was pretty beat at that point.

@GrundleJuice gets the "Gnarly Boot" award for riding windrock on a hardtail. Simply impressive!!!. Great Weekend and really great trail system and definitely want to make a trip back.

anyone interested in possibly making a weekday trip up to beech or sugar ? Beech is open until October 3rd and Sugar appears to be open to on the weekends ?
Also just to go ahead and plant this idea - Ski/Board Trip this winter ?
