Sept or Oct - Harlan, KY or Windrock(coal creek) TN

Yeah I would love to go to the event but I would def be a spectator all weekend.

U could actually probably enter one of the events. Haha

 

Last year it was not that packed.. I wheeled the entire time hardly seeing anyone (although I wheel the harder trails) There was a pack of jeeps that we ran into alot (really built)

See above.. I saw many mid modified trucks wheeling the last day (only day I took it easy since the ball joints in my truck were TRASHED) haha

 

Haha yeah gotta love it when shit breaks. Lol and the last big event I went to in Little Rock was crazy. I was the only Tacoma there. 1st or 2nd gen. Everyone either had built pickups, 4runners, jeeps, or fully caged, 800 hp King of Hammers buggies. I wheeled all day on Friday and although I had fun, I def wish I wasn't in a "pretty" truck that weekend.

 

only ball joints? i remember you about ripping your rear axle completely out of the truck..

SRRS is not having an event there on Labor day as far as i can tell?

so how did you come to the conclusion that there will be a shit ton of people there that weekend?

i had 56 trucks there for SETO last year - then all the 'others' that were at the park for their own labor day weekend ... we (4 trucks) rode 38 miles of trails on saturday alone and came out way up on the north side of the park and maybe saw 5 other guys. if 72000 ac. isn't enough to feel secluded, tough luck finding another park

 

Hahaha yeah that is a shit load of land. U could get lost out there. Lol and I just read and saw some things on their website and on line about it being a big event. I've never been to the park before so I don't know the campsites and trails and stuff like that. I guess it could be a small event. I really just made an assumption that it was a big thing based on what I've seen and the fact that its a held event at such a big park. I've been wrong before so if I assumed wrong then everyone just ignore me. Haha

 

lol, its ok, i was just confused. seto is 'my event' and it really isn't that big. we lost our campground in tracy city and windrock has been the only easy place to get everyone together that still somewhat centrally located.

i would encourage anyone wanting to come to the event to do it - we always have a good time and i try my best to have some good event stuff to giveaway/raffle/bad ass tshirts, etc

it is a HUGE place, but they have a great map, the campground is awesome (really nice bathrooms/showers/cabins,etc) and there is a great variety of wheeling from stock to buggies and everything in between.

btw- i'm not trying to sell the event here, just clarifying that we didnt have traffic jam issues last year on labor day.

 

i'll back Darcy up and say last year was a blast, and i'll still be there this year. But let's get back to topic y'all!

But anyway, that was the main reason the last day I didn't wheel much. (Yes the rear locker was toast but it still worked partially..)

After the windrock trip I completely rebuilt both front and rear axles with new parts

I'll be trying to make this trip, probably bring the woman along as well. Harlan or Windrock, doesn't matter much to me! Voted for Windrock as its closer though...

 

So I take it Harlan is probably a no-go
