Seriously starting to debate lifting my truck but I'm tight on money and my buddy is offering some old front sequoia springs that he used to run. I have done quite a bit of searching but cant find the following: I was wondering if anyone runs or have run stock sequoia coils on their first gen Tacoma, if you have include ALL info possible. How much do they lift, how comfortable do they ride, what shocks do you run with them, with or without a front bumper?

Ur tight on money so wait. we have a saying buy once cry once. Do it rite when the time comes. But if you Insist. I'm sure they ride stiffer over stock being your truck is lighter. If you lift do you have money for larger tires?

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't it: Tundra/Sequoia and Tacoma/4Runner as far as changeability in certain parts unless you plan to do some mods yourself to fit these Sequoia coils on your Tacoma.

You can run a specific year of 1st gen tundra TRD Off-Road Tundra double cab coils and shocks in the front of a 3rd gen 4Runner/1st gen Tacoma 6 Lug and achieve a good lift but you need upper control arms IIRC.

The 1st gen Sequoia may fit but I've never read anything about them providing lift on a 1st gen Tacoma, only the one year specific Tundra shocks.

In short I would wait and get the right stuff even if going the cheap route.

Doubly so if you're worried about ride quality and money.

No factory coil/shock is going to hold up well long term with a bumper/winch.

But if you're getting them for free I suppose you can try and find out, only costs you time and self labor then.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
First find out the outside diameter of the springs this might be lots more work then you figure,

Are you getting the complete coil over or just the springs?

If they are larger then your Tacoma parts even the 2nd gen parts do not fit our 1st gen

Please wait to get the right parts!!
