Nice fish, op. Posts and pics like your first one in this thread are what made me get rid of my '87 S10. Good truck, but wow...if I was in a wreck in it like the one you were in, I wouldn't be fishing a day later... Glad your ok.

Glad your O.K. Wrecked Tacoma is probably still worth more than a new G.M. twin sitting on the dealership lot.

Yeah, they seemed to do what they were intended to do, and went off right on impact, with the side curtains doing a lot of the work. Passenger had a burn on his wrist as jhis hands were in front of him, but very minor in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks man. Yeah, we seriously thought about cancelling the trip. But once we saw the river, and knew we were ok, the decision pretty much made itself. What better way to recover psychologically than to fish in the best steelhead river in the west (imho). And all it took was that first huge grab in the morning, and I was fine.

A true fisherman! Can only imagine the stress from that crash, and what better way to recover than to get a steelhead on the line

Well here goes the insurance nightmare. For this accident that we did not cause, it is now going to arbitration, which StateFarm has told me could take anywhere from 6-9 months with a year being a reality. Progressive Insurance has decided that although their client's trailer lost control and swung into our lane and struck my car, doing extensive damage and causing extreme danger, that driver is not at fault and is not going to pay. It's really sickening what they will do to avoid their purpose. Shameful. Calling you out Progressive.

    Geeeez...
I've heard about crap like this before from Progressive and especially Farmers.
If it's not the driver, who's is it?
Our litigious society sucks sometimes. Are they going to blame the road? The sun? George Bush?
Just because of this crap, I think my neck would start hurting a little, if you know what I mean.
    Pricks.
Good luck on getting this quickly resolved. I have State Farm as well. From everything I've seen and experienced, they are a great company.
Will be interesting to watch what happens.
Keep us posted and glad to see nobody got hurt too bad.
