Yeah I know. I have a HiLift in the bed for trails and shit but it was way too much up and down in this endeavor.

I got a good feeling about them. And I know how to do it now. Could do the front in an hour or two if I had eve had to do this before. When I was growing up playing and screwing with trucks, we did have the luxury of battery powered impacts and crazy shit like that. Gotta learn my tools. I can promise you I have learned that one.

Congrats! Been watching the whole thread because I could totally see this being my week, too. Way to stick with it, and hope I remember the hole saw tip should I ever need it.

    Congrats!

While I wouldn’t actually want to run that spacer, about 10 years ago when me and a buddy were rotating my tires in the garage, my friend with more muscles than brains broke two studs on the spidertracks on that truck!
We punched the broken studs out, and brought the spacer to autozone and tried all the studs they had, and when we couldn’t find one that fit I called spidertrax. They ended up sending me 6 new studs for free, I’m sure if I dig I can find the other 4 somewhere. I don’t recommend it, but I’m sure that spacer could be rebuilt on the cheap.

Looks like they sell replacement studs now: http://www.spidertrax.com/Toyota-Late-Model-Wheel-Spacer-Stud

I found two of my replacement studs. Either they sent me only four or I have two more somewhere... this was 10 years ago after all.

I’m really not a big fan of spacers in general but I’m not a fan of how narrow the factory wheels are either. I did the spacers before I did the wheels. Now with them off, and not that it didn’t with them on, but the trucks rides like a champ.

I’m going to hang onto them until I do my lift in case I feel like it needs them. But they’re shelf sitters for now.

So right now you have only one wheel on the truck without a spacer, and 3 with?

2/2. None on the front. Both on the rear. I’ll take the tears off next week but for now it’s Panic time!

Changed the title folks. Y’all are great. Every one of you. Except that one guy. Screw him. But the rest of you are cool.

Might not want to switch to 4WD with different track widths in the front and rear, especially with the rear being wider. It could mess with your ESC. Also I wouldn't run that system for very long: wider track width in the rear significantly increases weight transfer to the front during braking, making your front brakes and suspension work harder and reducing emergency braking stability. Also, a wider rear track compared to front decreases traction. Finally, when the front track is narrower than the rear, it requires more force to turn the wheels. You're putting more stress on all steering components, so don't do any high-speed turns until you've got the rear spacers removed or put them back on the front.

Short term. I’m not turning another nut until the weekend is over. It’ll be fine back and forth from here to Red Rocks. 5 miles.
