Clearly not a Toyota thing, bitch. Nothing Toyota is involved in the scenario.

And to anybody that thinks this guy is being hostile, he is my roomate from college many years ago and has always driven Jeeps until he finally saw the light a few months ago. And we always end conversations by calling the other a bitch.

    Bitch.

With all due respect, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who royally f's up sometimes. I was watching a grindhouse film on Amazon Prime Video (they have a fantastic B movie catalogue, at least here in Canada) but this thread is at least as entertaining... curious as to how this plays out.

You'll be alright as long as you both start and finish them by hand. This ensures they're not cross threaded or over tightened.
You can't remove the dust cap with the wheel on. I had the same idea as you until I remembered there's a spacer in there, creating way more work.

OP's wheel looks like it has dust caps that bolt on and aren't pinched under the rim. The hub dust cap covering the axle nut might not be too much fun to get off with the rim on there, but should be possible. can always cut a hole in it with a dremel just to get the nut off and replace.

Youre confident in your approach. I like that. And youre right, they are bolted on. But I am going to go with the drilling out the studs technique.

The dust cap won't fit through the center of the spacer itself. I know this because I run spacers, and when I replaced my wheel bearing, I got everything all assembled thinking I'd throw the dust cap on last. Turns out it wouldn't fit, and I had to take the wheel and spacer off.

While your idea would work, it would be a last ditch effort. You're talking about the effort of removing the entire wheel/tire/hub assembly, transporting it somewhere with an uber (LOL) and then paying a shop to do that work. AND THEN needing to buy 6 new studs.

Only update I have right now is that it is dark, the hardware stores are closed and I dont have a way to get to them anyway.

Ill get the bits I need tomorrow and hammer hell on the studs until I have a chance to admire my work...... and then chug my beer.
