I know use the search function and I did. I am looking to get new wheels mine are OEM and they are shot. Good for winter. I am looking to buy black wheels with maybe some machined edges, I think they look good like that. What I am confussed about is backspacing and offset. Can anyone help me out. I have about 2" lift up front and rear is little less than 2" almost sits level. I want to stay with the 1" wheels. just not sure about the backspacing and things. I am figuring 4.5 for the backspacing. Would that be good incase i wanted to go to a 265/75-16 i am running with 265/70-16 currently? And maybe some one saw thie thread with someone haveing I think an ATX wheel with Dyno pro atm's. I have the tires and like them alot, they looked good with the wheels this person had. Just didn't even pay attention to the subject now I can't find it.

    Thanks

Thank you! I see it can be + or - which would it be this where I keep getting confused. I see I did forget to put the size wheel which would be the 16x8.

I was looking around on line and saw some one had 5" backspacing what would that do, push the wheels out from the truck further for a wider stance?

That would push the wheels in .5" in comparison to a wheel with 4.5" backspacing. IMO stay with 4"-4.5" of backspacing

If you are only looking to fit 265s, anything between 4.5-5.5" backspacing will be fine

Ok thanks, I don't completely understand what the offset does. Thanks for the information.
