Did you really just join a TOYOTA forum and ask TOYOTA OWNERS if you should buy a NISSAN? 12 posts here and this is your opening and grand finale all in one thread.

Uhh...that's good. You get a higher score if it's more flexy. And seeing as you want an off road vehicle...

Now the one thing I'll give the Frontier is that it's easy to get a stock LT for it. Just find the parts for a Titan and they'll bolt right on.

That's a sexy interior, but I hate that steering wheel.

And the seats are too flat for my skinny ass. I slide all around in my Parents Murano with those exact same leather seats. Not enough bolstering.

Why exactly is "should I buy a Frontier?" even on a TACOMA forum? If I told you to buy the Frontier I would be going against everything I believe in. Get the Tacoma and be better off for it. The frontier would be ok if.......I can't even say that and live with myself with it throwing rods at 40 miles. Get the Tacoma, you won't regret it.

I have a few things that stand out for me... What makes everyone think disc brakes are the best? All heavy duty aplications use disc breaks. Semis, trains even. yes they fade and if wet are prone to fading too. But, the rear brakes are only 30-40% of the braking power anyway. I dont mind drums in the rear.

as for power? Power is only as good as its put to the pavement. Im not sure of the final drive ratio or tranny ratios on the nissan. It seems the Tacomas are geared lower making them not and good on the highway in some eyes. but high power with high gearing isnt as practical as lower power put to the ground better through gearing.

Price this is a big one... But its an easy choice to me. Pay 3000 extra for a truck and save 6000 in 5 yrs when you sell it. Nissan resale isnt as bad as domestics but doesnt match the yotas.

lol... true... It was hard to come out of the Tacoma, but I realized that it was too small for my needs...

When I was looking for ANYTHING a few months ago, I stopped by the Nissan dealer... decided against Fronty because it was too small (like the Tacoma)... but the Titan is nice...

Back to the topic at hand... people who only buy toyotas are taking the blue pill (as the OP indicated)... what's wrong with exploring other options? He wanted to know if anybody had any experience with that truck...

Being proud of your truck is one thing, but to think that all toyotas are infallible is ridiculous...

My friend is constantly complaining about the fuel mileage in his '08 Frontier. Also, his interior just looks plain terrible compared to my Tacoma.

He also hates that his truck looks like a 2wd p/u next to my truck and the lack of aftermarket support.
