2019 OR with 19K miles (no engine mods)

Started having a squeaking or squealing noise when driving. Seems to come from the engine compartment and increases in pitch and speed when accelerating (not able to hear at idle). Seems to be more noticeable when the engine warms up. Belt does not seem to be loose.

Was wondering if anyone had issues with the belt or pulleys at this low of mileage already?

Shoot the idler pulley bearing with some WD40 or Tri-flow.

More than likely the belt. There is a thread about squeaking 3rd gen belts that I found and I suspected the idler pulley. My 2017 did it the same thing @40k and I replaced the belt with a new OEM one and the problem disappeared.

Take it to the dealer . So it’s documented if the pulley fails .

Is it Squealing or Just some ticking like Sound coming from below the steering wheel area sound louder if you turn your head toward the side (Your ear facing the front) ? Sound louder upon acceleration or higher engine load. If yes I may have the answer if not then warranty time.

It is louder when accelerating with RPM increase and sounds like a squealing noise. I can hear a mild ticking noise when it is idling. But it has always done that if I remember correctly. I mostly hear it when on the highway.

I am scheduled with the dealer for the fuel pump recall next week so I guess I will add this to the list for them.

Dealer replaced the belt with the V-ribbed one per the TSB and the noise is gone.

i just had this exact issue on my 2019. I swore it was the top right idler pulley crapping the bed so I went and bought a new one and installed it and with no results. I returned it and bought a new belt, low and behold that fixed the noise. Truck has 44k miles. I’ve had belts in the past last me 100k miles. Guess they must of got a bad batch from China or something??

My 2019 TRD Off-road belt started making a rotational squealing sound at 28k miles. Checked all idler pulleys and tensioner all good. Replace the belt and noise gone. Here in central Oregon they spread red cinder rock on the road in winter as a traction aid. The smooth side of my belt was a reddish brown color and I believe was contaminated by the cinder rock debris.
