changing out the Serpentine belt ,truck just hit 100,000 miles nothing wrong with the belt just doing it for maintenance wise . Question is there anything else i should replace since ill have the belt out like pulley or tensioners? no squeaks or noise with truck just doing maintenance for 100000 miles.

Have you replaced the plastic coolant bypass pipe on that 2006 4 banger?

With that mileage, I'd consider the Gates idler pulley/tensioner combo on Rock Auto. Just use the pulley from the tensioner.

A few mods here and there and counting....
I developed a nice squeak upon cold start ups recently. Will be replacing the belt, all 3 idler pulleys, and tensioner pulley this weekend.

It's a pipe under the intake manifold that has been on Toyota 4 cyl engines for years. In 2005 they switched the design to a plastic pipe which turned out to be an engineering mistake as they switched back to metal in ~2009. The plastic is notorious for disintegrating, sometimes catastrophically. Mine had a pinhole leak so I replaced it and when I did the pipe fell apart in my hands like it was made from wet saltine crackers. Many many people on here have reported the same. I jus tread a story in the 4cyl forum of a guy who's failed on the freeway and caused blown head gasket and engine failure due to puking all coolant in seconds.

It's an easy to moderate DIY job. There are all kinds of posts about it on the 4cyl forum. Everybody with the plastic bypass pipe should have it replaced with the updated Toyota metal part as soon as possible. It really should have been a recall.

I would replace the belt and three idlers with Toyota brand products. They cost 3x as much but are 10x as good. Genuine Toyota parts cannot be beat.
