Has anybody set up their Tacoma to flat tow behind an RV? So far I have installed (had installed) the tow bar base plates. A neighbor gave me a tow bar. I have purchased a Roadmaster Invisibrake system for braking and have also sourced a de-coupler drive shaft. Does anyone know what, if any, other things need to be done to before towing (like fuse removal, etc.)? Thanks.

Don't think you need to remove any fuses. You will have to wire some tail lights. My dad tows his, ( has very a similar setup to yours ) and added an extra 1157 socket and bulb into the OEM tail lamps for that purpose.

Only thing I can think is make sure tires are aired up to the what the tire manufacturer's limit is. We towed a single cab from Dallas to South Padre and learned the hard way. On the way down, they were aired at 33PSI. Back home, 50PSI. Gained 2-3mpg on the way back in our tiny experiment. I know I know....so many variables

Nothing else to really do that isn't obvious.....

I'm in the beginning stages of setting up an 09 Pre Runner dbl cab 6 cyl RWD with AT. How do you handle steering wheel lock? Have you found and other "challenges" in getting your 07 set up? Thanks Kix
