If you take harder lines there is a possibility of damage, just like anywhere else.

It is a actually really newbie friendly park. We had a prerunner with us and he kept up with out getting on the skinny pedal.

Not being rude, but If you don't want damage then stick to the beach and undeveloped subdivisions like some of the Austin people do.

Off road parks are very newbie friendly which is why the trails are all rated by degree of difficulty. We have well built trucks therefore take harder trails at times increasing the chances of scratches and occasional dents. I've been wheeling over 3 years and only have 2 real dents on my truck and one of them was because I didn't have sliders at the time. There's always open seats in the more built trucks for people to ride along with and learn the ins and outs of true wheeling.

All the major parks have websites and information on their trail system. You cant always make decisions based on what someones truck looks like or the pictures you see. You don't know unless you take time to educate yourself about all the opportunities that are available.

SugarHill is local and really very minimal chance of damage. I pretty much run the of the park in 2WD... with the exception of the mud pits. ;)

I vote alto, like Becky and Snorkie said its a fun park. I only "needed" sliders on two trails but they both had bypasses and if I'd have chosen a better line I could've made it through no problem. Sugar hill was really boring to me, up and down little hills on a golf course was fun for about 10 minutes...

    My vote is for alto.

Wait, you mean Sugar Hill is a golf course? Well then what are we waiting for - let's go!!

Seriously though - that sounds quite boring and several of us already are planning a trip to an actual park in March.

Dennis - we understand you have a business to take care and can't make make it to the other places and several of us respect you for that. You are certainly a cool exception to the rule :). Cant wait for the day you can join us at HF, Gilmer or Alto!

    No no no and no

It's an over grown golf course with a pond... The owner will turn on the water to make a mud pit and that's about it.

How were the restrooms and showers on Bryan beach? Kind of sandy?

Beach is different. All offroad parks I have been to have restrooms and showers. With the exception of spring creek which has closed down.
