Setting Up Trailer or Dual Battery Charging.

    2019 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 Dbcb , 2004 Tacoma S-Runner
    Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
    I’m laying out my shopping list for my dual battery, one being in my teardrop trailer, other being in my 2019 Tacoma setup.
    Questions:
    1. I’m pretty sure this vehicle has a variable voltage(smart alternator) vice a standard alternator. Is this correct?
    2. I’m looking at the
    $465 Redarc BCDC1225D REDARC 25A in-Vehicle DC to DC Charger with MPPT — Dual Input for Solar & Alternator Charging, Green Power Priority - 12 or 24V Battery Charger Suitable with AGM, Gel, Lithium LiFePO4 Batteries
    Redarc BCDC1225D for the controller because of optional solar input. For those who have used this, any comments?
    3. See #2 above. How did you deal with the required vehicle ignition trigger input?
