If this were the OP's argument, I could at least see the reasoning behind it.

I've heard that from a few people and some have developed a smell in the summer months. Never had it happen to me but I'd imagine if the climate conditions were correct, it could happen. Especially if the truck sits for extended periods of time.

this makes sense on a rational level. Bacteria indeed grows better in constantly damp environments. While I can neither verify or negatate it's efficacy in relation to a Taco's AC, I like the way this it thought out. It happens everywhere else, so why not in the filter of a truck?

Nope. Being a girl has nothing to do with it. Use to have a girl tech in the shop with me. Don't make no diff to me.

Of course not. But if you think about it, how about some of those who get their interiors wet, say from an open window in the rain? It doesn't completely dry sometimes and mold will form in or under the carpet. No matter how much they open the windows, tear up the carpeting, and use dryers, there's always some kind of dampness left behind.

Granted it's oranges and apples in terms of amount of moisture with an ac vs damp carpeting but the idea is the same. The cabin filter is more enclosed and a damp carpet is more out in the open.
