    I'll add this because it's a pretty common issue on the 03/04 Tacoma's, and it's an expensive fix to throw parts at this if it isn't diagnosed properly because the TPS isn't available as a separate part aside from purchasing a complete throttle body...

    The temporary fix for a TPS via 1-100 throttle cycling or 0 to WOT usually shows the issue lies with the TPS. The 0 to WOT technique doesn't always temporarily send the TPS back into working order.

    Some quality multimeters can read in milliseconds regarding their response time. My Fluke I believe has a response time of 100ms for capturing fast transients. This ability in a MM is crucial in identifying a momentary short interruption in resistance that can take place in a fraction of a second.

    But congrats. Looks like you solved your issue. I just add this long response for the next person with possibly this issue.
