    A bit of reality.

It doesn't matter if the trailer was parked legally, blocking, not blocking. The parking structure did not move.

The only moving object was the truck under YOUR control. It doesn't matter how something is parked, it is not moving.

YOU were the one responsible for your truck's trajectory. YOU made the contact. YOU are the one responsible. YOU should be paying for repairs.

Not flaming you. Just need to make clear who bears the responsibility for the damage to your truck.

OP, I wish you good luck. Sorry, the finish is ruined on your truck.

    wrong.

It was too late; Driving slowly against a wall couldn’t be helped.

It was right there in emphatic capital letters.

Not wrong. OP had a choice to STOP.

Consider. It is highly likely that other drivers exited the parking structure while the trailer was parked in the zone. Did all the other drivers scrape on the parking structure???

i'd go over that area with some proper polishing compound and an orbital buffer. it will look much better and it's inexpensive.

I'm not a mod, but I'd suggest we stop bashing the driving of the truck and stick to the detailing questions and answers.

I did stop, But than there was no way to keep the scratch from happening cause I'd have to BACK UP to keep from hitting the trailer. As for multiple people leaving the garage, it is the dead season and I looked over the cameras since I WORK SECURITY there. The only vehicle that exited that side was me and the trailered truck. Everyone else was parked on the upper floors of the garage P2-P5 and they use the entrance as the exit. The exit side is only for P1. The owner of the condo and the truck w/trailer told me they were at fault, that is why they offered to repair it.

What are the best Proper polishing compounds orbital buffers?

Any random orbital polisher will work. You can spend a couple hundred or several hundred. Start with the least aggressive compound and softest pad and you can always go up from there. Jescar, sonax, and rupes are top quality. Here's what I previously recommended:
