Severe Weather thread.

Just switched to rain here. Supposed to go back to.snow this evening. Then I think we might get hammered. Depends on when it goes back to snow though.

 

had sleet last night, rain today and suppose to go back to snow tonight and tomorrow.

 

They bumped the precip from 6"-12" to 12"-18"

Bring on the snow!!! I could probably be happy with a couple feet every week... Maybe.

 

I'm right on the edge of the amounts. it is the higher amounts here!

only expecting 1 to 2” here tomorrow. which mean we will probably get 1” max!! 90% of the time we get less than they saw we are going to get.

About an inch out here in Columbus. I'm driving to Oklahoma tomorrow so for once I don't want snow lol.

I was hoping the Charleston, WV area would get inches upon inches buts its too wet for any real accumulation to occur

 

Yeah, still rain here since around 2:30. Supposed to change back around 11 or so. So hoping there will be a lot when I get up tomorrow. Plus my wife is a teacher, and she's hoping for a snow day.

My dad lives in Norman, driving down for thanksgiving.

 

Tornado damage from last year. Missed my house by just a few streets. Scary part was my son was at the baby sitter and her house got hit. It took about 2 hours to reach him since the streets were covered in down trees. A neighbor brought a skid steer home from work to help clear debris from the road. Another fun fact about the storm. We moved a few months ago to a bigger house and our new house was one that got damaged in the storm.

That is an understatement. I had to park on the outside of the neighborhood and climb over trees to reach the house he was at.

 

Scary and crazy! I assume he was not injured?

 

This tornado hit my town in 2005 and pretty much destroyed the south part of town. It was classified as a F4 and was the strongest reported that year. And I live literally less than 500 feet from that school.

Yikes! F4. That's no joke right there!

 

Definitely not. Thank god nobody was killed or seriously injured that day. We got plenty of warning and actually we were let out of school early that day because they knew it was coming. That thing sounded like a freight train when it went by and it only got about half a mile away from us.
